Question: Is Online Registration mandatory for all the candidates applying for the PG Admission?

Answer: YES, Online Registration is mandatory for ALL the candidates applying for the Postgraduate Courses in the University of Delhi.

Question: I wish to seek admission only through the Merit- BASED mode. Do I need to apply through Online Registration? Am I expected to pay the Registration Fee?

Answer: YES, Online Registration is mandatory for ALL the candidates applying for the Postgraduate Courses in the University of Delhi, irrespective of the mode of intake. You have to pay the Registration Fee as well.

Question: I would like to change my Centre of Entrance Test after completing the Online Registration Form. Is it possible?

Answer: NO, the selection of City and Centre opted during the time of Registration will not be changed. The preference order once selected will also not be changed.

Question: Is it possible to get the Admit Card through postal mode?

Answer: NO, the Admit Cards will be provided through the Online Mode only, you can generate it through your registered account or from the website of NTA.

Question: When will I be able to download the Admit Card? Is it immediately after filling the Registration Form?

Answer: The link to download the Admit card will be available at www.nta.ac.in as well as on www.admission.uod.ac.in. You are advised to check these websites time to time.

Question: Shall I sign on the Candidate‘s Signature area of the Admit Card before appearing for the Entrance Examination?

Answer: NO, the candidate is required to sign on the Admit Card in front of the invigilator during the Entrance Test.

Question: Can I submit the Registration Fee through any other method, like cash, demand draft, cheque etc?

Answer: NO, the Registration Fee is accepted only through the Online Payment options available on the PG Admission Portal.

Question: My Internet got disconnected while filling the form. What should I do?

Answer: When you get back the Internet connection, login again with your credentials and fill the information again.

Question: How can I correct my mistake in the Registration Form? I have uploaded the wrong Photo/ID Proof/ Signature.

Answer: Before making the Online Payment, you can generate a Preview and can do the required rectifications. Once you Submit the form, you will not be able to make any changes. Be very careful before Submitting the form.

Question: How can I apply in multiple programs? Do I need to make payment for each course separately?

Answer: After completing your Registration, complete the application for one program. Henceforth, you can apply in another program using "Apply Now" button on your home area of the Dashboard. For each of the applied program, you need to pay separate Registration Fee.

Question: What does the ‘Final Aggregate‘ mean? or What percentage do I need to fill in Update Result for admission through MERIT BASED mode?

Answer: ‘Final Aggregate’  is the combined result of all semesters the qualifying exam, i.e. B.A. / B.Com. / B.Sc. (or equivalent) result taken together. You need to fill the same at the time of updating of Qualifying Examination Marks.

Question: How will I come to know the location of my Centre in the city I have chosen?

Answer: The information related with the Centre will be announced on the PG Admission Portal. The information will also be provided on your Admit Card.

Question: Can you please tell me the syllabus and pattern for the Entrance Exam?

Answer: Please visit the website of the respective Department of the University of Delhi to know the syllabus of the Entrance test.

Question: Do I need to send a hard copy of the form?

Answer: No, you don‘t need to send the hard copy of the form.

Question: How can I upload a self-attested ID Proof?

Answer: To upload a self-attested ID proff, do the following:

1. Take a photocopy of your ID proof
2. Self-attest the photocopy of your ID proof
3. Scan it and upload.

Question: Will Registration Fee be refunded or adjusted, if I change my category?

Answer: The Registration Fee is mandatory for all categories and will not be refunded or adjusted in any circumstances.

Question: I filled the wrong category, can I change it now?

Answer: No, Change in Category is not allowed.

Question: Which are the mandatory fields in the application?

Answer: While filling the Registration form, you will see an astrix sign * in Red.These fields are mandatory and should be filed carefully.

Question: I have created my account and filled my Registration Form on the PG Admission Portal. Can I use the same account to fill the Registration Form for my friend?

Answer: No, Each applicant / candidate must create a separate account and fill a separate Online Registration Form.

Question: How can Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) access and fill the Online Registration Form?

Answer: Such applicants may fill the Online Registration Form by using assistive technology. In particular, the visually impaired applicants may use screen-reading software such as JAWS or NVDA to fill up the Application Form. Those unable to use computer may take human assistance for the purpose. For details of the centre setup by the University for assisting PwBD candidates, please refer the Bulletin of Information.

Question: I have a gap year? Can I still apply?

Answer: Yes, you may apply to the PG Courses. The gap year will not affect your candidature

Question: Will there be any disadvantage for gap year students?

Answer: No, there is no disadvantage to gap year students and they would be treated at par with regular students. They should meet the requisite criteria for admission and must possess the necessary documents / certificates.

Question: What are the criteria for Caste certificate issued by state/central Government?

Answer: While submitting your Caste certificate, make sure it is in the prescribed format, issued by the competent issuing authority. A certificate that is not dated properly/is incomplete/or is not in prescribed format will not be accepted. 

Question: I have 10% disability, can I cover under PwBD category?

Answer: No, you cannot apply under PwBD category as to avail admission in this category a person with benchmark disability means a person with not less than forty percent of a specified disability. 

Question: Can I edit my phone number in application form?

Answer: Your Mobile number is used for all communications related to admissions. Be very carefully while filling your Mobile number as it will not be changed.

Question: Can take pursue a Certificate Course in DU while pursuing a Post-Graduation program at DU?

Answer: Yes, you can

Question: Is there any ECA quota for PG admissions 2021?

Answer: No, there is no ECA quota admission in PG programs

Question: My Marksheet is in CGPA format. How do I fill the form?

Answer: In the Registration form, you are required to give your aggregate marks in percentages. To know the conversion from CGPA to percentages refer to your Marksheet. Every University has different conversion criteria.

Question: Do we have to fill different registration form for SOL?

Answer: No, you don’t have to fill a separate form for admission to PG program in SOL.

Question: How can I apply for admission under Sports quota?

Answer: While filling the registration form, you will have to select Sports Quota. Click on ‘Yes’. Remember, this option will not be available for the Entrance-based admissions.
