B.Sc. (Hons.) Food Technology

 

B.Sc. (Hons.) Food Technology offers its students an opportunity to gain the requisite knowledge, skills and aptitude for food technology. The key objectives of the course are to impart knowledge in areas related to Food Science and Technology; enable the students to understand the food composition along with its Physico-chemical, nutritional, microbiological and sensory aspects; acquaint the students with the technologies of food processing and preservation of plant and animal foods; cereals, pulses, oilseeds, fruits vegetables, spices, meat, fish, poultry, seafood, milk and dairy products; stress on the importance of food safety and quality management, national and international food laws and regulations as well as the importance of food engineering and packaging in the food industry.

 

Eligibility for Admission in B.Sc. (Hons.) Food Technology

 

Program Specific Eligibility

Candidates must appear in CUET in any of the following subject combinations:

Combination I: Physics + Chemistry + Biology/Biological Studies/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry

OR

Combination II: Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics

Merit will be based on the best CUET score obtained from any of the above-mentioned combinations of subjects

Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 30% score in any one language of List A in CUET.
