B.A. (Hons.) Geography

 

Students of the BA (Hons.) degree in Geography will learn to use geographic understanding of various subfields such as physiography, resources, global economic systems, socio-cultural aspects, rural and urban milieu, environmental and disaster studies and mapping methods. They are trained to read and interpret maps, prepare transect charts and thematic atlas. They can also read and analyse weather phenomena through weather maps and charts. In addition, students will acquire scientific methodology of data handling, hypothesis generation, testing and analysis. After completing the course, students will also gain knowledge of various technological applications through the study of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Science, digitally producing maps and modelling applications.

 

Eligibility for Admission in B.A. (Hons.) Geography

 

Program Specific Eligibility

Candidates must appear in CUET in the following subject combination:

 

Any one Language from List A + Any two subjects from List B1 + Any one subject from either List B1 or List B2

Merit will be based on the CUET scores obtained from the above-mentioned combination of subjects.
